Regulations

By registering, participants agree to the following regulations.

  • A participation ticket (e-ticket) is only valid if the full amount of the registration fee has been paid.
  • Registration requires payment.
  • Participation is entirely at your own risk.
  • For cancellations up to 10 days before the event, the cancellation fee is the amount of the cycling clothes you purchased. This covers our costs for the shirt and socks (because of pre-ordering), shipping and handling. If you manage to find a substitute, no cancellation fee will be charged. Please note that the size of the cycling jersey cannot be exchanged with a substitute. From 10 days the cancellation fee is 100%. In all cases we will send you the ordered merchandise at home.
  • If the event cannot take place due to external circumstances, such as extreme weather conditions or the death of a member of the Royal Family, there will be no refund of the entry fee. The organisation will decide on the cancellation of the event.
  • If it turns out that the Climate Classic cannot be organised on 20 June due to the coronavirus, we will try to reschedule the event to an unspecified date later in the year. If the cycling tour can still not take place, you will receive part of your registration fee back. The shirt and socks have already been ordered and will be sent to you by post.
  • At the Climate Classic, all traffic rules apply and must be respected. The police will enforce criminal law on dangerous traffic behaviour and will carry out checks to that end.
  • Participation in the tour and access to the care posts is only possible for registered participants. Your e-ticket that you receive after registration is your official starting ticket.
  • Participants take care of their own safety and the safety of other road users. The use of follow cars is forbidden. The organisation is in no way liable for accidents or damage or loss and/or theft of personal items belonging to the participant.
  • When registering for the Climate Classic, participants declare that they are in sufficient health to complete the tour and that they have a proper bike.
  • During the event, we work together with photographers and filmmakers who create an impression of the atmosphere of the event. These images are used for the event website, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter and any press publications. By registering, you agree to the use of these photos in the media described above. According to the applicable AVG regulations, you can request us to take a photo/video offline. To do so, use the contact form on this website or send an e-mail to climate@cycling4climate.nl.
  • Participants give by their registration permission for the use of data by the sponsors of Cycling 4 Climate for promotional purposes. More information in our privacy statement.
  • By registering, participants consent to the publication of their names if rankings are drawn up. They also consent to the publication of photographs in which they are depicted.
  • Participants give their consent for inclusion in the mailing list/newsletter of Cycling 4 Climate.
  • When participating in the Climate Classic, wearing a helmet is mandatory on all distances.
  • The participants should behave like all other road users and not take exception.
  • Participants must immediately follow the instructions of the police and the organisation. Participants may be excluded from further participation in the event of unlawful behaviour, failure to comply with traffic regulations and failure to follow the instructions of the police and the organisation. These participants are also excluded from participating in other tours of the organisation in the future.
  • When participating in the tour, participants must adhere to the corona measures in force at the time. These include showing a valid corona entry ticket, Test for Entry, etc. The organisation will make these measures known prior to the tour. See also the explanation page about Corona.
